You have to give Exams to qualify for admission in college to choose a carrier of architect. It is a 5 year course B.ARCH(Bachelor in architecture) .
You have to clear NATA ( national aptitude test in architecture) OR if you want admission in NITs you must have 98+ percentile rank in JEE mains Paper 2. If you want admission in IITs then you must crack JEE Advanced and AAT Both exams to enter in IITs.

Firstly you should be a science student with main subject (Physics, Chemistry, Math) + You must have an aptitude problem solving skill like visualizing its top front side views and most important is your drawing skills(portrait, aesthetic, scenery).
JEE mains – format of paper will be math, drawing, aptitude + GK(Famous architects and building and construction materials). You have to get at least 98.5+percentile rank (under AIR 2000) To get seat in lowest NITs.
JEE Advanced – format of paper will be same as for engineering students with PCM and for that you have to qualify JEE mains paper 1 also . You just have to pass this exam.
AAT – to get admission in top IITs you must pass in JEE Advanced and AAT both examinations in AAT the paper format is same as JEE mains paper 2 format . just have to pass in exam.
NATA – if you don’t need any NITs or IITs then you may give this test to get other top colleges paper format is same as JEE mains paper 1. You need atleast 155+ marks in NATA and 85%+ in 12th Board to get top colleges.
The best college for this 5 year B.Arch course is IIT Kharagpur, IIT Roorkee, IIT BHU, SPAs (Delhi, Bhopal, Vijayawada) Then NIT Trichy, NIT Calicut CEPT Ahmedabad, SIR JJ college in Mumbai These are the top Tier 1 and Tier 2 colleges remaining other NITs and Some top ranked university like Jadavpur, CCA comes in Tier 2.5 and remaining colleges i prefer not to join its better to get a year drop and prepare again. Remember You have to score above 98.5%ile to start getting NITs, Preparation seems easy but due to less seats its very tough to get seats in top tiers colleges.
